the song is about her falling in like with someone who didn’t return the favor. He considered them a fling, and she had really fallen. So it was simpler for her to crumble, and not to know. she felt like a child or a fool who would still believe it mother goose tales or superstitions….
To me, the chorus reminds me of a friend that died earlier this year, at just 17. It makes me reckon of how delicate life is, and that, though we lost him, we won in the end, because to lose, you must have something pretty special to start with.
definetly not her husband, it was written before this. I reckon it’s obviously about a lost lover. “One for sorrow”, like a magpie, she feels humans belong in pairs, “three for a girl…etc” she thinks of the family their could have been, or perhaps she feels the loss has made her feel as small and delacate as a small child. Choux Pastry is very fragile and had to fix once broken, as is a heart in like.
So I reckon it was written about a lover previous to her husband.

haha, at the begining you place a clip of her singing with a guitar, even though there’s no guitar at the begining of the song, I’d pay better atention next time you make a video. LIKE this song though! Go Corinne!! =)
I believe this song is about a family member. As her husband died in march of 08 and this song was released in 2006
